We are seeking a Fullstack Engineer to own the responsibilities and daily activities of platform maintenance and ongoing engineering needs . This is a rare opportunity to be an instrumental member of a fast-paced startup, directly contributing to a product with immense social impact. As a core team member, you will participate in architecture, scale systems, lead and contribute to ongoing platform enhancements, development and maintenance, and help shape our AI-integrated ecosystem.

What you’ll do: You will join an operating platform at an important modernization and growth stage. Near-term work includes helping evolve our existing Django platform, migrating remaining web experiences into our React architecture, strengthening reporting and data accessibility, improving platform reliability, and building the technical foundation for our next generation of AI-assisted college-planning experiences.

Responsibilities include:

  • Implement role specific user experiences that are intuitive and emotionally supportive across devices.
  • Lay the groundwork for current and future AI features.
  • Help build the application architecture supporting Robin and future AI-assisted experiences, including user-context retrieval, workflow/tool integration, structured outputs, guardrails, evaluation, observability and human escalation where appropriate.
  • Creating and maintaining a seamless front-end (UI/UX) user experience throughout the ecosystem, across devices, and all user types.
  • Ensure performance and responsiveness throughout the ecosystem.
  • Help complete the modernization of legacy web experiences, including migration of functionality from WordPress into the React/Django application ecosystem.
  • Building reliable internal reporting, administrative tooling and data-access capabilities so operational teams can answer business questions and execute routine workflows without engineering intervention.
